Wash off é uma técnica de ilustração na qual vc faz o desenho num papel couché encorpado, pinta o desenho com guache branco e, depois de seco, pinta a folha toda com nanquim. (em cima do desenho deve se passar uma camada bem leve de nanquim).

Depois q o nanquim seca vc lava o desenho... Pois é, lava xD. O guache sai fácil com água e o nanquim fica. Com a casca do nanquim q tá em cima do guache se desprende e sai com o guache... e dá-se um efeito bem bacana ;D.

Wash off is an illustration technique where you do the drawing on paper coated bond, paint the drawing with white gouache and, once dry, paint the whole sheet with ink. (Top of the drawing must pass a very light layer of ink).

After the ink dries you wash drawing ... Yeah, wash xD. The gouache comes out easily with water and the ink stay. With the shell of the ink that is on top of gouache comes off and leaves with gouache ... and gives a very good effect ;D
